A DIY GUIDE TO GENDER HACKING

My new digital publication is out!

I started this year off by immersing myself in learning, research, development and experimenting with writing thanks to the Develop Your Own Creative Practice grant I received from Arts Council England.

My goal was to take a step back from my work as Managing Director of G(end)er Swap, and to take time to sediment my brand/own voice as Santi instead of funnelling all of my knowledge and resource creation through the org.

Throughout the year, I have experimented with writing styles on Substack, partook in a ton of writing courses/workshops, delved into queer archives and exhibitions, and got hyper-fixated on a new art form (collage).

My DYCP grant has come to an end and with all of my learnings I have created a new publication which speaks to my interests and expertise in the way of gender exploration and self expression. It’s a tribute to the gender confused, the gender queer, the people who feel something is different about their gender but can’t place it, for anyone looking to bend their gender in just 20 pages, and for anyone in between or outside of any of these experiences looking for a fun brain massage.
